Your attention about this interesting marketing strategy from Bentley.

First Bentley launched a Survey for AutoCAD Users: “Help Us Help You”.

Then “Bentley Releases Survey Results of AutoCAD Users Facing Autodesk’s Forced Retirement Program”; according to Bentley 2.000 responses in a week have been received.

Finally, yesterday 6 december 2004, “Bentley Opens “You Deserve Better” Upgrade Site for AutoCAD Users Facing Forced Retirement of Their Software by Autodesk”

Don’t know how many upgrades Bentley will sell thanks to this initiative (if you have data about let me know!), but I think it has been an original marketing idea.
